Scope

Progress Drawing module: ingest CAD/PDF sheets and render them as an interactive markup surface (not a static viewer) where the foreman marks progress on duct runs and pipe spools; marked progress feeds the day's Work Performed log. Two build options are on the table — Option A (PIN-720): simple state-based mark-in-log per sheet-metal/piping state vocabulary; Option B (PIN-445): full earned-value backend with per-worker component marking and a weighted (LF/lbs/SF) % complete rollup. (Source: PIN-720, PIN-445.)

Acceptance criteria

  • CAD/PDF sheet renders as an interactive, tap/select-to-mark surface, not a read-only viewer
  • Sheet-metal state vocabulary: Not started → Fabricated → Delivered → Hung → Connected → Insulated → Tested/TAB → Complete
  • Piping state vocabulary: Fabricated → Delivered → Racked → Welded → Pressure tested → Insulated → Complete
  • Sheet switcher, progress-overlay toggle, and legend (Complete / Marked today / Not started)
  • Marked progress feeds the daily log's Work Performed section; save + export to PDF
  • Desktop/iPad landscape is the primary surface; mobile is view-only or landscape-locked
  • (Option B) Each mark records the worker(s) and date, append-only — corrections are new events, not edits
  • (Option B) Weighted % complete rollup by component weight (LF/lbs/SF) per system, sheet, and project, with per-worker productivity (LF/hr)

Conor's comments

This requires a lot of design discussion.

Pick A (mark in log) or B (full earned-value markup)

Reference

  • Linear: PIN-720 (Progress Drawing markup — Option A, mark in log); PIN-445 (Progress Markup: component marking + worker tracking backend — Option B, full earned-value)
