Scope¶
Estimate revisioning: a revision dropdown on the Estimate tab (Base Bid, Addendum 1, etc.) with hover tooltips and cell shading showing what changed per revision, a two-pane compare view between any two revisions, and automatic deep-copy of the full estimate tree when a new revision is created. (Source: PIN-245, PIN-244, PIN-246 — May 12 workshop D38/D40.)
Acceptance criteria¶
- Revision dropdown at the top of the Estimate tab (Base Bid, Addendum 1, etc.), defaults to the active revision
- "New Revision" deep-copies the full estimate (sections, line items, vendor quotes) into the new revision — nothing carried over manually
- Switching revisions updates the URL and reloads the estimate scoped to that revision
- Per-cell hover tooltip shows source revision; shading distinguishes unchanged values from edited ones
- Viewing a non-active revision is read-only, with a banner prompting to switch to edit
- "Compare Revisions" opens a two-pane side-by-side diff — added/removed/changed highlighting, per-row change list, filter to changed-only, print/export to PDF
- Creating a revision is gated to roles with estimate-edit permission

Post-launch polish. Revision history needs to be fully tested.
Notes¶
No row covers bid/estimate revisions; ROW 18 rev/cost split is project change orders and ROW 13's pdf_revision_diff is drawing revisions. Matched to PIN-245 (Revision UI dropdown/tooltip/shading), PIN-244 (auto-copy deep-clone on new revision), and PIN-246 (two-pane compare view) — all Done, siblings under the Estimate Revisions work.
